Student Services
Student services are designed to provide support for students enrolled at The Claremont Colleges. The different services are located throughout the contiguous campuses. We offer campus specific as well as consortial-wide programs, support and services to augment and enhance the students’ academic and psycho-social needs. The Division of Student Affairs recognizes and values the diverse backgrounds, life experiences, assets and aspirations of our students and are intentional in our efforts to serve all respectfully and with cultural competence.
The Claremont Colleges Library (TCCL)
The Claremont Colleges Library partners with faculty, students, and staff to provide content and services in support of all forms of intellectual engagement and inquiry across The Claremont Colleges consortium. We are focused on creating a dynamic, equitable and welcoming presence for our users, honoring the diverse voices–and varied lived experiences–of our community and constituencies.
Campus Safety
The Campus Safety Department of The Claremont Colleges is dedicated to providing the highest level of safety, service, and protection of our students, administration, staff, faculty, and our guests. As a 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-per-week, and year-round provider of service, they remain committed to ensuring the safest environment where your educational goals, social engagements, and recreational activities can be experienced in the safest manner possible. The Claremont Colleges Services (TCCS)
Established in 1925, The Claremont Colleges Services (TCCS) is the central coordinating and support organization for a highly regarded cluster of seven independent colleges known as The Claremont Colleges. TCCS provides both student facing services as well as administrative and operational services to the students and institutions that comprise The Claremont Colleges. Our Student Services, Campus Safety, and The Claremont Colleges Library provide services directly to the students of The Claremont Colleges. Additionally, TCCS has numerous departments that provide services to and coordination consortial projects and programs throughout The Claremont Colleges.
Student Health Services (SHS) at The Claremont Colleges is committed to providing excellent, comprehensive outpatient clinical care to promote and maintain the health and well-being of all our students. We achieve this through a multi-disciplinary team approach comprised of physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistants and office support staff.
Health Education Outreach – Overseen by Student Health Services, HEO provides educational programming, services, and resources that enable students to play active roles in achieving, protecting, and sustaining health and wellness.
Monsour Counseling and Psychological Services
MCAPS provides mental health services to the students of The Claremont Colleges. We have a diverse staff made up of mental health professionals including psychologists, doctoral level therapists, marriage and family therapists, post-doctoral fellows, psychiatrists and support staff.
Student Disability Resource Center?
The SDRC is dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals by providing accommodations, assisting in mediation between students and faculty and providing student-focused workshops on topics such as time management and study skills. SDRC also provides training to faculty and staff on topics related to working with students with disabilities, Universal Design and Disability as Identity.
The Chaplains offer religious support, engagement opportunities, and create a faith community for students as they pursue their education. At The Claremont Colleges, Chaplains serve as confidential spiritual counselors, emotional leaders, and provide ethical leadership to the campus community at large. There are four Chaplains onsite, a Rabbi, Imam, Catholic Priest, and Protestant Minister.
Chicano Latino Student Affairs
CLSA aims to foster a sense of familia and community at The Claremont Colleges by providing cultural programming, leadership opportunities, professional development, and academic support for our diverse undergraduate and graduate students.
Office of Black Student Affairs
OBSA is a cultural center and service unit providing support, resources, and space for students of African descent to feel safe, valued, informed and connected at The Claremont Colleges. OBSA offers a range of programming on behalf of TCC students of African descent, faculty, staff , and allies.
The Huntley Bookstore is the consortial bookstore of The Claremont Colleges. Shop our seven institutions apparel at one convenient location. Huntley provides textbook services, institutional apparel, general school supplies, and houses the campus Apple Store.
Providing students, faculty and staff with high-volume digital printing, ID Card services, Thesis Binding, Shipping, and general office services. Connection is located at the south entrance of the Claremont Colleges Library. The Connection services all campuses within the Claremont Colleges as well as the City of Claremont Community.
Other Student Services
As the Violence Prevention and Advocacy Center of The Claremont Colleges, the Center works collaboratively to support 7C-wide educational programs and provide holistic, confidential support to all students impacted in any way by sexual assault, sexual harassment, dating/domestic violence, or stalking.
The Hive accelerates the creative development of students across The Claremont Colleges. Varied disciplines come together in the Hive to harness the power of the liberal arts and to deepen students’ creative practice.
The Queer Resource Center is a 7 College resource center serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, asexual, omnisexual, and pansexual communities, as well as allies, at The Claremont Colleges.Whether you identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, asexual, omnisexual, pansexual, or as an ally, the QRC has something to offer you! Our space houses a great collection of over 2,000 LGBTQIA-related books and movies, which can be checked out for free and used as textbooks for classes or research material for papers. The QRC’s student associates work hard every semester to hold a number of fantastic programs in addition to co-sponsoring many other events with various organizations.
The Scott A. McGregor Computer Science Center serves as home to the rapidly growing Department of Computer Science and houses a permanent makerspace, open to all students at Harvey Mudd and across The Claremont Colleges.
